Contest Updates

The SkillsUSA Florida Championships is the premier career and technical competition in the state. Our Career Competitions are based on current industry trends and are designed, facilitated, and judged by industry professionals. The information on this page provides information on SkillsUSA Florida State Championships events, and is applicable to regional events only when expressly stated. For information on national contest updates, visit updates.skillsusa.org.

While competitions are facilitated by business and industry, our competitions are a cooperative effort between SkillsUSA, industry, and educators. A direct connection to the classroom is the best way we can ensure we are meeting current industry trends and demands, and SkillsUSA Florida is seeking educators in all trade areas to support our competitions through the State Education Team. Any instructor is interested in applying to join should download and read the requirements and fill out the application, along with a statement of support from the school administration.

For supply lists, contest outlines, uniform requirements, and general contest information, refer to the SkillsUSA Technical Standards (available with Professional Membership at absorb.skillsusa.org). Any additional contest information or changes to the Technical Standards for state-level competitions will be published here. Please check back regularly for updates and information. If no updates are posted below, refer to the official Technical Standards for contest information.
